Certification and training

Certification and training is provided by the Hofstede Centre, a sister organisation of itim international culture & management consultants. The Hofstede Centre reaches out to all of those who want to get more insight into professor Hofstede's research. Its main goal is to offer high quality education in the field of culture and management based on academic research and practical experience.

Training is offered in the field of Intercultural Management, based on Hofstede's 6-D model:

  • Power Distance,
  • Collectivism versus Individualism,
  • Femininity versus Masculinity,
  • Uncertainty Avoidance,
  • Short Term versus Long Term Orientation and
  • Indulgence versus Restraint,

and in the field of Organisational Culture, based on Hofstede's research from the end of the eighties which resulted in a six dimensional model and subdimensions that has been further developed by Bob Waisfisz (the founder of Itim).
